This homeschool course introduces children to the Morgan horse, one of America’s first horse breeds. Using simple language and accurate breed information, it covers the story of Figure, the horse at the start of the breed, the Morgan’s body shape and character, and the many jobs and sports Morgans can do. Learners also explore Vermont and Massachusetts, maple syrup, and a poem by Robert Frost. By the end, children can recognize key Morgan traits and share how this strong, versatile horse became an important part of American history.
