About
This homeschool course introduces children to Lipizzaner horses at a grade 5-6 reading level. Learners will explore where the breed began, why many Lipizzaners change from dark foals to light gray adults, and how these horses train for the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The course also looks at Lipica, Slovenia, Vienna, Austria, and a few parts of Austrian culture, including Joseph Haydn’s “Surprise” Symphony and apple strudel. Facts are presented using reliable breed-association information and clear, age-appropriate language.
