About
This homeschool course introduces children in grades 5–6 to the Cleveland Bay, a rare horse breed from Yorkshire, England. Using facts checked against official Cleveland Bay breed association resources, learners explore the breed’s bay coat, history, and work as a riding, driving, and sport horse. They also learn about the cliffs, moorlands, gardens, poetry, and everyday traditions connected to northern England. Short activities help children observe carefully, use new vocabulary, and share what they learned. The course ends with a family-friendly Banoffee Pie activity, including a non-dairy option.
