Freiberger Horses and Switzerland

This homeschool course introduces children to the Freiberger, also called the Franches-Montagnes horse, a horse breed from Switzerland. Using age-appropriate facts from the official Swiss Freiberger breed association, learners will explore the breed’s home, appearance, character, care, and many jobs. They will practice map skills, compare horse activities, and use what they learn in simple writing and observation projects. By the end, learners can describe a Freiberger accurately and explain why this versatile horse is important in Switzerland.
